Ahhhhh…. The weekend is upon us again. It was a short week, especially for those involved in today’s track meet in Nanaimo. This year is rapidly drawing to a close, and I would like to highlight a couple important reminders. Please make sure you received the re-registration package from your notice-taking child! There are lots of important things to look over and fill out in preparation for next year so please make this a priority.

Senior Music, French 10 AND HCE 8/9,  please check your respective pages for current expectations (senior music must hand back permission forms by Monday, May 31st!).

WOW!!! The end of the year is creeping, and soon BANG! It will be here. I am feeling like there is still soooooo much to do, but I am learning to take one day at a time and do my best with what I have. The senior girls sang for the 50+ crowd at the Northgate Foursquare Church on Friday evening and did a FANTASTIC job! Kudos girls! The other music classes are busy preparing musical treats for the final awards evening – it will be a treat!

French 10 and French 8/9 should check their respective pages for homework expectations. Enjoy your short week!

Please come out and support the school by attending the CVCS Drama Production – PETER PAN! Contact school office for details. Senior student report cards are right around the corner,  so please keep in prayer the students that are in the play and balancing their schoolwork. Some of them are carrying a heavy load right now.

March 24/10

Spring Break has come and gone and all of a sudden there is another day off! Friday is a Pro-D day for teachers, and a day off for students. And then Good Friday and Easter are upon us the following week. So, work hard in the meantime to get caught up and stay on top of the homework expectations.

Please check the HCE 8/9 page (especially those who were in Mexico!), as well as the French 10 page. There is homework for both of those classes. There are also some expectations for HCE 6/7  that some students have completed and others haven’t.

Music News: grades 2-7 are having fun with recorders right now, making LOTS of joyful noise, and the senior music class did a fantastic job performing at the spring fling! They will be learning a few more pieces and sharing them at a Fine Arts Gala Evening (more details to come) as well as a few schools in and out of our neighbourhood.

The French classes are busy learning skits and the 6/7 class will be filming theirs over the next few classes. Grades 4/5 are recognizing the language associated with the play and are learning how to form sentences and choose the right words to fill in the blanks.

‘Till next time! Au revoir!

Wow, we have made it all the way to Spring Break! Fantastic. I hope anyone reading this has an excellent break, and then just think – when we return we are on the home stretch. A little scary and wonderful at the same time. Blessings be yours – see you soon!
